Search component description field in Jira

We are evaluating Jira.

I want to create a Search query in Jira that looks for a specific piece of text in the Component Description field. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @Elizabeth Beck ,

The component field is only searchable with the exact name and there isn't a way to search for the component description field.
