Send email (alert) to customer or assignee when a person approves change

Hi, COmmunity!

I am trying to find an option or setting but with no success. Google also cant help here. Thats what i want to implement:

Customer raises change request -> Make an approval list (>2 persons) -> Send a request to approval. And on this stage i want customer to get email about EVERY approval, not only when all is done and request is transitioned to next stage.

Is it possible? Currently not working.

I don't use SD so I'm not familiar with the approval it has. It sounds like you'll need a plugin or scripting solution

Customer is also a Jira user. Sometimes customer is even a SD Agent.

And yes - i dont want to notify them for every edit. I want them to be notified that a person from Approvers list has approved the request.

E.g. currently there are 5 persons in list and Customer will only receive one notification, when all 5 persons will confirm request and it will be transiotioned to next phase. But i want to receive notification about every approval.

And the problem is that in notifocations settings there is not such trigger as "request approved by person" or something. More than that, approval even doesnt count as request update.

Please define 'customer'. If they aren't a JIRA user then JIRA won't send an email to them because they can't see the issue. If the issue is publicly available then a notification will be sent

If they do have an ID: I'm presuming you don't want to notify them for every edit on the issue, which I think is a bad idea due to volume and have a user picker to select the customer

JIRA notifications are controlled by the notification scheme. If the approval process goes through a transition you can create a custom event, replace the current event in the transition with it and have the notification scheme send on that event and include them in the notification scheme
