how restrict users to create specific type of task

Hello.

Our project has 3 types of tasks: Ticket, Task and New Feature.

We need to limit jira-users to ability to create Ticket and New feature tasks only.

Users from specific group should have ability to create Ticket, New Feature and TASK .

How can i do it?

Hi,

This isnt currently possible in standard Jira (http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5865) although there is a hack on that ticket to do it. We needed to do a similar task so created two projects, one for jira-users to create a set of issue types against, and another that only certain group members could create other issue types using a custom Permission Schemes on the internal project to restrict who can/cant raise tickets.
