Jira Server - Automatic email for overdue issues

Question

Hi,

is there an option/addon to automatically send emails to users with overdue issues? (like an issue reminder)

We also support this in Notification Assistant for Jira

Configure an interval and set the JQL. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Let me know if you need help setting this up.

Hi Simon,

You can use @Ashkan Malekly 's strategy for highly customised emails. The other option would be to periodically send a single email which captures all issues which are overdue. Automation for Jira will send one email per overdue issue.

To do this:

* Run an appropriate search, using basic filters, or your favourite JQL.
* Save the filter with an appropriate name.
* Adjust the columns which you'd like displayed, Ensure that the column preferences are saved at a filter level (that's why you save it first), and not at a personal or system level.
* Click Save again
* Click Details (next to the filter name).
* Fill in the Filter subscription form and click Subscribe.
* You can subscribe yourself or a group :)

A good trick is to change the assignee to "Current User" and subscribe a group, and that way, each agent will see which of their issues are overdue.

I use "Automation for jira" add-on for this in our company. You can set conditions like overdue and put send email option after that.
