When I search for overdue issues it returns issues not overdue

I have recently set up a small project with few issues. When I search for overdue issues it returns issues that are not overdue. What could be wrong?

I have reset all the timepicker format settings to default.

It returns 10 issues, where 1 is actually overdue and other 9 is due between 2 days to a month in the future

I also noted when I sort on date, it's not correctly sorted. (the image is from the dashboard. I have changed the date format, but I have also tried the default with the same result)
