Which installation method is best for latest Jira confluence installation on linux

Hi Community,

 

I want know which installation method is best as a long term solution.

 

1) .bin installation (installer) comes with in-build java

2) zip installation (archived) need to install & configure the Java separately & maintain as well.

 

I want to know from the community people which is the best taking the consideration of up-gradation & migration.

For a production environment, I would almost always use the installer with the bundled Java as the application will have been tested, and are guaranteed to work as expected with that version of Java.

It also makes upgrading easier as you do not have to independently maintain and upgrade Java.
