Look Up Feild in Jira

Hi,

My usecase is simple. Based on the Assignee field, I would like to have one field "Belongs To Team" auto-populated, so AssigneeName1, AssigneeName2 and AssigneeName3 will be in Team1, whereas AssigneeName4 and AssigneeName5 will be part of Team2. How can this be done in Jira?

Hi,

 

You cannot do this without a plugin.

I suggest the next workaround:
1.Build a Custom field: Teams(1,2,3,x)

 

Create automation:

When issue is created-> If issue meet JQL : assigne X or assigne Y -> then set field Teams to value 1

And you have to build as many automation as teams you have.
