When a story is finished for my technical team its remains in our last swimlane "Done" for eternity. I would like, when a story is done, that it is linked to the epic but removed from the active kanban board.

From your Kanban board. Select Board > from left list Select General > in the end of page you can see option "Hide completed issues older than1 week2 weeks4 weeksShow all".
this option have multi chose, for your case select Show All.
