Jira Data Center - HA Query

Question

I am curious to know how people are building in HA for the DB and shared storage across two data centers ...

I am thinking of standing up a MS SQL Cluster with 4 DB's in each (2 in each DC) with replication across all 4 so that should be fine .... But for the shared storage how are ye doing it

Initially was thinking about creating 4 NFS with a virtual IP shared between both clusters and then building in some sanity check ... then leverage bash to update the mount points but that is very messy and probably unnecessary ....

Interested to see how others are doing it

what is not a supported configuration? I do not see anywhere a document that informs customers how to setup Jira DC with a HA for DB & Shared Storage?

At minimum, this is not a supported configuration.  I would recommend setting up your Data Center instance in a supported manner.  Atlassian has a doc to describe the process, but in essence, you build a highly available instance in your primary datacenter and a warm standby with replication in your remote datacenter. We've done a few proof of concept implementations for clients, trying to get cute with database replication between different geographies and none were really stable enough to consider using in production.
