insert bitbucket content directly into confluence document

I can't seem to find a macro or a way to point to and include the content of a specific file from a bitbucket repo/branch. Whenever the branch is updated, the content in the confluence documnent is updated automatically.

Essentialy this would be the same as the include excerpt macro, but for git.

Hope this mumbling makes sense.

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

At the moment the integration between Bitbucket and Confluence is sort of non existing. There are a couple of apps that allows you to display content in Confluence that is stored in a Bitbucket repository. Maybe the iFrame macro can be used and just link it to the file in Bitbucket.

Hi @boris,

You may find Include Bitbucket for Confluence useful for your use case where you want to embed a Bitbucket file into Confluence and it is kept in sync to ensure you always have the latest version.

You can simply copy the URL of the Bitbucket file and paste it into the Confluence page.

In the following example we use this Bitbucket URL of a .js file: https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/atlassian-connect-express/src/master/lib/index.js

Then paste the URL in the Confluence page as shown in the video and the macro will automatically be applied to embed the file.

Include Bitbucket - paste file url.gif

You can include private and public files and we have a Data Center and Cloud edition.

@Yahampath To be honest I do not know. I have not been using Bitibucket for 4+ years now and have not kept up with what integrations it has...
