How do i get custom field values in jira?

I have tried to use the code:


CustomFieldManager customFieldManager = ComponentAccessor.getCustomFieldManager();

 CustomField customField = customFieldManager.getCustomFieldObject("Source");

 Object customFieldValue = customFieldManager.getCustomFieldObject("customField");

 System.out.println(customFieldValue);

but I'm getting an error:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/atlassian/jira/component/ComponentAccessor

Does anyone know how to deal with this? Or a better way to access custom fields?

issue.getFieldByName("Field_name");

What is the type of the custom field? (Free text, select-list, user picker etc.)

Please try this:

CustomFieldManager customFieldManager = ComponentAccessor.getCustomFieldManager();
CustomField myCustomField = customFieldManager.getCustomFieldObject("customfield_11111"); 
String myCustomFieldValue =  issue.getCustomFieldValue(myCustomField)
log.debug("Value: " +myCustomFieldValue)

Thanks fro the answer but I've been struggling to use ComponentAccessor. I have this problem:

"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalStateException: ComponentAccessor has not been initialised.

This is not expected to occur on a production system. Developers that encounter this message within a unit test should use n MockitoMocksInContainer rule to initialize mockito and ComponentAccessor. For more detailed explanation read the documentation for MockComponentWorker in the jira-tests artifact for more information about what causes this error and how to address it. "

Any way to access custom fields without using ComponentAccessor? Or any idea what to do about this exception?

Please use these imports at the beginning of your code:

import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor
import com.atlassian.jira.issue.CustomFieldManager
import com.atlassian.jira.issue.fields.CustomField
