Jira Server - how to configure to view issue types based on user roles

Hello Experts,

Our requirement is simple as follows:

we have different user roles developer, tester, team lead. We want issue types restricted based on user roles. e.g tester and developer can only add sub task and lead can add all others.

Can we do this with default features or any open source plugin that we can use.

I am using Jira server locally hosted version 8.7.1.

JIRA doesn't allow this out of the box. You may be able to do this with scriptrunner or the behavior plugin. If you mean 'open source' as free, I doubt it.

Dear @brij ,

afaik this is not possible with standard Jira. Eventually you can find a plugin on https://marketplace.atlassian.com. I doubt, that the are open source. You could also develop your own plugin!
