Is anyone using the backup client for disaster recovery?

I have a very small Bitbucket/PostgreSQL Linux server implementation, and the client wants disaster recovery support.  They do not need the high availability provided by Data Center.  The Bitbucket backup client would be able to create a consistent backup.  Has anyone used these backups to restore operations in another data center?  Does it work?  What do I need to watch out for?

At my two previous companies we used Veeam. All our servers were VMs, and with Veeam we could take multiple snapshots per day and store it off-site. A couple of months ago I had to roll-back a Confluence upgrade and because we had the snapshot it took less then an hour to get back to the original state before the upgrade. My advise it to make sure that you can do a restore and make sure you test it out once in a while too.
