catalina.out flooded with token recognition error at +

Collene Hansen

Hi everyone,

For the last hour, our catalina.out log of our Confluence server is being flooded with the two lines:

line 1:12 token recognition error at: '+'

line 1:10 token recognition error at: '+'

Nothing out of the ordinary in the Confluence logs.  Does anyone know what could be the cause?

Shannon S

Hello Collene,

Thank you for bringing this to us.

Are you encountering any issues with your Confluence site at this time? I found another customer in the past that had this error, but their Confluence site was crashing, but we weren't able to tell if it was related to that error.

In the end, we compared the error to what was happening in the atlassian-confluence.log file. In that case, it was related to a theming add-on that was installed. Again, we weren't able to determine if the two were related, but the customer didn't come back to us after that time.

Could you compare what is occurring in your atlassian-confluence.log? You can also try to enable Safe Mode on your site and see if it's not being caused by an add-on.

Regards,

Shannon
