Can not access Jira Service desk in Browser , although it is correctly started

Hi,

After a shutdown and start of my Jira Service desk server, I can not reach it anymore in the browser. I have checked , whether it has started correctly but I can not see any errors. In the Browser I get the following message:

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

What I have tried is, to turning off the firewalld on my Centos Server, but afterwards I get an HTTP (404) error in the browser. The CentOS version is : CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810 (Core)

Do you have any idea, what else I could check to make some further steps for solving the issue.

This is probably more of a networking question - your 404 means your client cannot reach your server.

I would start on the server - try a simple curl or wget to localhost on the port you set up for Jira. If that gets you a login response, then try the actual base url next. Then go to a remote machine and try tracert to see if you can get to the server, then the same wget/curl etc

#curl localhost:8080

Unfortunately I get also even there an HTTP 404 error.

That tells us that there is something blocking access to your system on that port.

It's almost certainly a firewall.
