JIRA ticket "View" mode formatting

Hi,

Is there a way to maintain formatting when you are in view mode?

for example if i add leading spaces to a line and ad line spacing. i can see all the formatting when I am in edit mode. but when i exit edit mode all the formatting is lost and is just displayed normal.

Is this a configuration issue or is this normal JIRA functionality?

It's normal Jira functionality. If you need to retain formatting, surround your text with a {noformat}...{noformat} macro (assuming you have the Wiki renderer set up for the field). This is useful for things like log file content etc.
