Why do my tasks not show up on the Kanban board?

I want to create tasks in the Kanban board but when I do, a pop-up appears telling me that the issue has been created "but it is not visible." How do I get the tasks to show up on the Kanban board?

This means your board is configured to not show the new issue.

Have a look at

* The board filter and sub-filter (Does a new issue match it?)
* The quick filters (If you have filters applied, it may be one of them hiding it)
* The column mapping (Is the status for a newly created issue in one of the columns on the board?)
