Upgrade from 7.5 to 8.x version (not using cloud)

Hello, 

We are using Jira 7.5 server enterprise version, and wanted to upgrade the software to 8.x (latest version). 

I would like to know the specific steps to perform the upgrades. In addition to this we have numerous plugins associated with JIRA application. So, if we do the upgrade, will these plugins will be in sync with JIRA new version 8.x automatically or we need to perform individual plugins upgrades for the same. 

I am a new member in JIRA admin team. So please guide me how to perform the upgrades on Linux server and from where should I get the installers for the same.  

I also need to know if there is any support related specific email where I can contact you frequently.

Upgrading Jira applications 

Under Manage Apps > JIRA update check

You can see which add-ons will be compatible and which will not depending on the version of JIRA you're upgrading to.
