I'd recommend starting by looking at the Jira Product collection, and don't hesitate to ask questions, everyone is very friendly and ready to help!

If you are just now implementing Jira, try to think longer term on any changes you make. As in, is the custom field, workflow, or customization scalable? This will save you a headache later most of the time. :-D

My team has been using GitLab for 6-8 months now. The Jira Admin working the GitLab to Jira migration expects to be converted this month.
