There will be a period where the background reindex process in JIRA got stuck, due to clashing action from an admin, for example, a reindex was triggered, and before the index is completed, the nodes were restarted.
How to solve this?
curl -k -D- -X DELETE -u localadmin:***** https://<jiraurl>/rest/projectconfig/1/migrationStatus/<index's taskid from address bar>
Replace localadmin:***** with the credential of the user that originally trigger the reindex
Why would anyone restart when there is a reindex in progress .
You should reschedule your restart or reindex time.
