seems the new confluence feature changed the way attachment are showing when added in a page. How can you change the way attachement is displayed at it used to be.

The new Confluence Cloud editor unfortunately removed the ability to link text to an attachment, you can follow the feature request on CONFCLOUD-65302. Here is a workaround:
1. Add an attachment to the page
2. Publish the page
3. Go to the page's Attachment menu
4. Go bak to Edit mode and use this link:
If you'd like to add an attachment as a thumbnail rather than as an icon, you can follow this feature request: CONFCLOUD-67512.
That's way too complex to just add a link to an attachment but that's unfortunately the only available workaround.
