Can I use the expand macro inside a table?

When I've tried to do this the macro appears below the table

Same here. Works on the page. Does not work when added inside a table cell. Please help.

What version of Confluence Server are you on? Have you tried dragging and dropping the macro into the table cell after it appeared below the table? For me it seems to work perfectly fine.
