With JIRA configured to create requests from emails received by a specified email address, if the email address of the sender cannot be associated with an existing user then there is the option of either
a) letting JIRA automatically create a new user and set the reporter of the new issue to the newly created user, or
b) set the reporter of the new issue to an existing user
In the second scenario, can JIRA extract the email address and display name of the sender and automatically populate custom fields with their values?
Thanks
