What'st the difference in these two "Summary" fields?

A plugin gave the these two fields. The first works just fine. The second doesn't. Anyone know the difference between them?

This works:
Parent Summary Field for Subtasks
A custom field for use in subtask issue types only, containing summary of current issue's parent issue.

This does not:
Parent Summary Field
A custom field containing summary of current issue's parent issue.

Custom fields for sub-task issues to display parent issue summary in column views.

Description

JIRA's sub-tasks could be used to provide great features for priority handling and progress monitoring. There have only been one drawback using the sub-tasks as users can't always figure out the parent issue from column views that only display parent issue key. This plugin allows user to figure out the parent issue context easily without opening the parent issue. This plugin contains two main custom fields: Parent Issue Summary and Extended Summary.

So where is the other one coming from?

The issue is where they display. One shows in the view, the other in the Navigator. I can see the view one fine. The navigator one shows up when selecting columns...

But not when I return to the Navigator...

Ok, if one works and the other does not, is there a reason you're trying to use the broken one?

If there is a good reasn, then the next step is to read the logs to look for errors, and then see if it's broken consistently or there are cases where it does work.

Oddly, one works on forms, the other is lists.
