Edit Files in confluence has no collaborative editing / synchronisation.

Question

Hi,

In confluence, we got to know a new implementation about editing files, we need to install and setup companion app to edit a file(Microsoft based files).

The problem is here with collaborative editing/ synchronisation when more than 1 users are editing the file.

@shashanktomar375   I  think that collaborative editing only works on confluence page it self  not on the excel  files..

Hi @Moses Thomas ,

Thanks for your reply!
We checked your solution in our instance but it doesnt work with file(Microsoft based files) i.e. Excel sheet as mentioned in Query Details.
If 2 people are working on same excel file at a time, there will be no notification for both user(i.e. A and B are working together on same file) unlike confluence pages. and the changes of the person will be updated who has updloaded the file lately.
