Can I disable Spaces links?

Hi,

Am I able to disable the navigation area (the area with the All Spaces, Site Spaces, Personal Spaces, My Spaces, Archived Spaces) in the image below, it takes up a lot of space and I don't need it?

No, this setting applies equally to all users.

To your question: I am afraid this is not, because it is the "Core" menu of controlling Atlassian products, in this case Confluence Cloud.
