Can i know the list of characters that cannot be used for attachment names

I am unable to attach few files as they give "Invalid Attachment Name" error.Can anyone list the characters that cannot be used for attachment names.

These are the characters that are not allowed: '\', '/','\"', '%', ':', '$', '?', '*'<span>.</span>
