Recover a Confluence site from Confluence created backup?

Is there a means to recover just a site from a confluence created backup?

If so can you provide instructions.

Yes, create a new Confluence and import the backup into it.

If you need more help with that, check the docs for "restoring from a backup" and then ask here if you get stuck on them.
