Publish failed and work was lost

Is there any way to recover work that was completed and published?  I completed a requirements document, published it, and when I returned to it today, the document and all of the work that went into the document were not there.  Azure Team (VSTS) is starting to look really attractive again.  I had this happen twice on two different documents.  HELP!  With no support, this product is starting to look like a disaster in waiting...

Happy to help you with this.

When you mention a document, are you referring to a page in Confluence, or an attachment, such as a Word document? 

When you published the page, the changes were all there, but they're missing as of this morning? Are your changes in the history of the page? 

Lastly, could you confirm your Confluence version with me to make sure we're on the same page? It will also help if you can walk us through the steps you took exactly, it'll help to understand why the changes are not there.
