Which kind of Organisation for A Confluence which gather 8 departments ?

Hello All,

 

I'm in charge to gather information of the department and to build a Confluence for 8 departments. First of all, I was focused on a single set of parents and child pages, but yesterday a woman from Atlassian partner organisation tols me to have separate spaces for department and Pages for central information.

Does it makes sense for you ?

WHERE can I find instruction and/or recommendations to build up a performant Confluence site

It might be a good Idea to give the departments their own spaces.
Might give them the feeling to „have their own piece“ of the Confluence and they might be motivated to cultivate e content.

Maybe there are topics where you would want to create spaces with no o a department and having the context of a product or projects where then multiple departments are collaborating.

Usually you only have to worry about in perfomance in instances with hundreds or thousand of users.
