unable edit old comment

In my permission scheme, "edit own comment" granted to "current Assignee", I want current assignee can not edit past comment.

is this possible?your Solution?

I don't understand your question ... 

So ... In the permission scheme of the project, the section for  "edit own comment" is granted for "current assignee".

1. The permission is granted, and the user cannot edit own/old comments ?

2. Do you want the user to be restricted from editing older comments ?
