Ability to send daily/weekly/monthly emails from JIRA

I am wondering if there is a feature in the newest version of JIRA, or a plugin available that would allow for daily/weekly/monthly summary emails to be sent to JIRA users. The types of emails I am interested in sending out would be:

-Daily/weekly/monthly summaries of Open, In Progress, and In Review JIRAs, and the priority of each JIRA.

The purpose of these emails would be to remind users of any outstanding items they have to work on. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

First create a filter and then subscribe to it.

For example, to get open issues for last one week with priority 'high', you can create a filter like this:

created >= -1w and resolution = unResolved and priority = "High"
