Required Fields on different Screens for same Issue type

Question

Hi,

is it possible to have required fields when creating an Issue, and when you change the status u have to fill out different fields, but those should be required aswell. So far when i mark a field as required it doesnt even let me create the issue because the fields on a different screen are required.

To make the fields required on the transition screen you will need a paid plugin like JSU

Required fields are required upon issue creation. The only way to have field required anywhere else in the workflow is to use a plugin (jira suite utilities or behaviors allow this).
