Map Fields From Salesforce To Jira Without An Issue Type

Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to map specific fields from Salesforce into Jira without having an issue created in both systems?

I was trying to use the Salesforce connector for Jira but it will only read values from a ticket that already exists.

I would recommend you to use an integration solution like Exalate in this case.

The tool is very flexible and you may choose to map and sync the information from Salesforce which you think is relevant for Jira without creating a new issue in case a Jira issue already exists.

You can simply connect your existing SF tickets to Jira issues one-by-one or in Bulk by using the Bulk Connect feature.

A Salesforce Jira Integration with a secure connector offers a very flexible approach.

You can customize each project separately in Salesforce. If you want to expose/view specific fields, Issue Types, etc. that is easily doable.
