I need a solution because when a try to send an email, JIRA say me :

An error has occurred with sending the test email:
com.atlassian.mail.MailException: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 550 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender

I work with EXCHANGE SERVER and settings it's OK!

Hi Richard, looks like the message 550 5.7.1 is an error code that comes from the SMTP server and is just printed in JIRA logs, I found search online this article with some more details about that.

Also, alternatively to using client authentication to connect to your exchange server, you may configure a relay.

Cheers
