Bulk edit users in Confluence Server from API

Hi

My team is looking for the way to edit all the users of the instance to change the username, because this users are imported from Confluence Cloud and the username looks like "048dbb92241693bbbb4b5a833d4fa434"

What we want to do is change this code and use the email from the users. We did that in Jira Server but we don't find the way to do it in Confluence Server. We tried to change this value in database but it brokes the user.

Can you let me know what changes you made exactly to the database and where in order to fix the problem? It should be feasible to make the change.
