Allow access to a confluence page for a groupe but not to the parent page and space

David Coulon

I have a space which contains a page and child pages i want to give access to a few users. But i want to restrict access of the whole space.

I have done the following :

• Space1 (restricted)
  • page1 (restricted)
  • page2 (access granted)
    • page2-1 (access granted)
    • page2-2 (access granted)
  • page3 (restricted)
  • etc

But unfortunately the users in access granted cannot see the page, either with direct links or space browsing

Any help or idea appreciated.

Thanks

View restrictions are inherited. If you restrict the home page, all its child pages will be restricted as well (view restrictions just cascade down your page tree).

So, you should open your space for users and make, for example, two page branches - restricted and free.

Home page (open)

• page 1 (open)
•       page 1-1 (open/locked)
•       page 2-2 (open/locked)
• page 2 (locked)
•       page 2-1 (inherited restrictions, locked automatically)
•       page 2-2 (inherited restrictions, locked automatically)
