How to easily change the custom field ID in the JIRA database

Question

I'll tell you right up front that I'm asking for team I'm working with and am not sure about key details.

Situation: A DEV JIRA Instance is being moved with Project Configurator help to PROD. They use nFeed and also use SIL Scripts.

Problem: The field IDs from DEV are different in PROD. example: field xyz = 11111 in DEV  and 22222 in PROD.

Question: Is there a way, I guess in the SQL DB that nFeed is using, to easily change the DEV field ID with field ID from PROD?  It seems their DB, scripts or both - are using the DEV field IDs instead of the PROD field IDs and now nothing works.

I really apologise for lack of details but if this situation sounds remotely familiar please let me know.

Hello,

You are going the wrong way. You should write your code so that it could take the correct custom field id in each instance.
