How to get file information about a git repo from REST API?

I'm trying to get information about what kinds of files are in a git repo using the REST API. Ideally I would be able to specify how many subdirectories I would be able to search as well.

This would only work on Bitbucket Server right? I am trying to do this on Bitbucket Cloud.

I suppose you can use /rest/api/1.0/projects/{projectKey}/repos/{repositorySlug}/browse endpoint.
