Some users have multiple profiles in Jira?

Hello All,

In our Jira application some users have multiple profiles, it is confusing to reporter to assign issues. I Don't see delete option in the UI to delete duplicate profiles.

Is there any way to retrieve all duplicate profiles from the backed(database) and delete?

Hi @Bunty,

It sounds like you have multiple user directories and to remove them you need to decide which user directory is the master on. Once that is done, do this:

1. Login as an admin and move the master user directory to the bottom
2. Disable the duplicate users in the other directories
3. Move the master user directory to the top
