Cannot Create JIRA Calendar in Team Calendars

Adam James1

When I try to add a JIRA Calendar to My Calendars in Confluence, I only get the Confluence related fields (Name, Description, Related Space), and the "OK" button remains greyed out. This is a big reason we purchased Team Calendars, and it not working is a major frustration. What is the problem?

Hi Adam,

Have you configured trusted application links between Confluence and JIRA. Are you able to see any project being retrieved from JIRA side when you tried to add the calendar. If there are none, you might want to double check your trusted application links configuration and see if there are any misconfiguration there.

If your username is the same between Confluence and JIRA, you might want to use OAuth method and see how it goes.

Also, check if your "Accept Remote API" is enabled in JIRA "General Configuration". For sanity checked, could you create a JIRA issues macro, if this macro works fine then the issue is not in trusted app configuration.

You could also try to enable plugin safe mode and enable only team calendar and see if it helps.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the response!

Yes. Links are configured. No Projects are being retrieved. Using OAuth and OAuth only. Should I use other methods in combination with OAuth?

Need to review your logs on both Confluence and JIRA. For security purposes, it would be better to create a support ticket so that we would be able to review your logs

Support ticket CSP-86462 submitted. Thanks for your help.

Edited my Answer. See if it helps.

Further to Septa's response, you may have a problem with your Trusted Application IP Patterns. I had the same issue and removed all IP Patterns (I had only 127.0.0.1) from all Application Link configurations and it started working again.

We were experiencing the same problem which turned out to be caused by this issue:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/CertificateTooOldException+when+Configuring+Trusted+Communication

For us, increasing the timeout period solved the problem.
