Jira Enhancer Plugin after upgrade to 4.5.4 Jira index fails and jira stops responding

Getting error Unable to index custom date field 'Planned End(customfield_16001) with value: -1

Which caused JIRA to stop responding. I had to stop and restart JIRA.
