Specific task assignment

I would like to perform the following action:

Assign a task to someone who is not added to my project:

What I want to avoid is for the person to see the rest of the tasks of a specific project. I would like that when entering the project I could see only the tasks assigned to it

Hello José,

Actually, both Classic and Next-gen projects can be restricted based on the People tab. The only difference is that:

- Next-gen projects are configured in the details section, but it only allows you to configure who can Edit and access the issues.

- Classic projects are configured in the permission section and have more specific and granular permissions to configure your project (Edit/view issues, edit Worklogs, comment on issues, etc)

That been said, to set your classic board as private you must add only the users you want to access it in the Browse projects and Administer Projects permissions in the project settings > Permissions.

Ok I have reviewed and I see that it can be done only with classic templates, my problem with the classic templates is the "access" is there any way to make them private?

Hello José,

There are two ways to achieve your need:

1 - Add the current assignee to the browse projects permission

- Navigate to the project > Project settings > Permissions > Actions > Edit Permissions

The problem with this alternative is that all the users will be able to see the project names, although they will not be able to access the issues as mentioned in the bug below:

- Grant "Browse Project" permission to "Current Assignee" makes project visible to all users
