No assignment of issues to other users but myself

Hi there,

 

is it possible to configure JIRA (the permissions?) so that PO and ScM are able to assign issues to all users but for developers it is not possible to assign issues to other users (only possible to assign issues to themself)?

I tried to remove the developer role from the permission "Assign Issues", but now they are not able to assign issues to themself.

Hello,

I'm afraid this is not possible out of the box. 

One solution I can think of with Script runner is;

• Create a user script field,
• Make value of this field current user,
• Give permission to this user field on your permission scheme.

But I must say that I didn't test this and have no idea if it would work. You can try it though.

I couldn't think of any other way of implementing this.
