Making a dynamic workflow

Help! I'm not a programmer, so all the code is Greek to me, but I'm hoping there's another solution.

My company won't pay for Portfolio, and I'm trying to make a dynamic workflow that will do the following:

 

-Create a sub-task on transition (have that part already)

-Off-set the dates so the sub-tasks will not be due at the same time as the parent

-Update automatically if a date or other info needs to change, so that I won't have to update 100 following tasks if one date changes.

 

Is this even possible?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to achieve natively on JIRA the second and the third item you mentioned, however, the Automation for JIRA plugin can give you both items. 

I just have one question about the third item you requested:

Update automatically if a date or other info needs to change, so that I won't have to update 100 following tasks if one date changes.

Are you talking about automatically update the related sub-tasks when you change some field of the parent?

If I have properly understood, Here are the rules you can configure to achieve both items:

1 - Off-set the dates so the sub-tasks will not be due at the same time as the parent

Leaving the field blank in the rule should clear the due date.

 

2 - Update automatically if a date or other info needs to change so that I won't have to update 100 following tasks if one date changes.

Set which fields you want to copy from the parent task.

P.S: Automation for JIRA have 300 free executions per month and does not require any code.
