Duplicate issues created on ticket creation

Question

We are experiencing an issue in our Jira server where when a user goes to open a ticket, the ticket appears to generate and then hangs on ticket creation. The ticket creation form remains, and actually reverts to a state where it is still present on the screen (like the 'Create' button had not been pressed). If the user presses the 'Create' button again at this stage, another ticket will be created.

Ran the Integrity Checker with no result. Any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA!

@Dillon MIller I would start by putting Jira in safe mode, and then start reproducing the issue and see if anything changes. If you do not see any issues when running with none of the apps enabled, start enable them one by one and try and recreate the issue.

Regarding logging, the built-in log analyzer can help, but to be able do further drill downs in the logs you would have to use something like Datadog, Splunk or any other monitoring tools. Here are the ones listed on Marketplace.

@Mikael Sandberg Thanks for your response. The ticket type appears to be unrelated, we have tested with several different request types and received the same issue.

jira-atlassian.log is getting hammered with ERROR messages (~2600 in the past three days), many Java runtime exceptions and Apache/Catalina connector breaks. I suppose it would be helpful to understand how I could discover descriptive logging for an issue I had just submitted... Is there an easy way to do this/better interpret the huge amounts of logging?

Do you have any apps that are associated with any for the fields or the workflow when you create an issue? That is what I would start looking at. Also take a look at the log and see if you can find anything in there.
