Question regarding JIRA and multiple GIT installs

Is it possible to integrate multiple GIT installs or other source codes with one JIRA server instance ? Is there a need for plugin or any free plugin available ?

When you mention multiple Git installs, are you talking about multiple Git repositories or centralized storage of Git repositories like Bitbucket or Github?
