Block Duplicates

Question

Hi There

I wanted to know if there is a possible way on blocking the same issue from being created. It would be great to have a feature blocking similar issues either through issue types and similar summaries etc.

We work in a space where we track users and their retaining efforts (retaining business) and we want to see if there is a way of ensuring that they can only create one ticket per issue

Just to add to @Sreenivasaraju P  answer, in the link provided the script checks for matching summary which is good, but since it's a text search thus it can give unpreditable results sometimes, rather if you have a custom field(select drop-down, number, date) based on a which you judge if the issue is duplicate or not then it's better to use that instead of summary for more accuracy.
