Quick Search Default Project

Question

We have several projects in Jira.  Using quick search, I'd like to be able to just enter a number and have it pull up the corresponding issue within my project (Dev).  Many times, I enter a number in quick search and get:

You can't view this issue

It may have been deleted or you don't have permission to view it.

If I precede the number with the project (e.g. Dev-1111) it does come up.  I assume it's because there is another project with an issue number of 1111.  Is there a way I can set a 'default project' so quick search will only look in the Dev project for the number I type in?

Has there been anything like this for text searching? 
I always have to filter on the project I want via basic or JQL
I am wanting to set a default for searches. Tried the last clicked project and it doesn't work for text :(

Just solved this on my side. It seems Quick Search remembers the last Project you clicked on from the list in the "Projects" dropdown in the top-left of your screen.
