Update GitHub PullRequest information in Jira

had a developer enter in the wrong JiraID# in a GitHub PR title and the PR got merged and closed. Now that specific JiraID is refelected incorrectly as being fixed with the PR. He has since updated the PR title with the correct JiraID, but there is no way to rescan so that the PR information gets updated to the correct JiraID.

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Jerrad,

I am not on the Jira or Bitbucket teams but will try to help.

What is your end goal here?  Is it to keep the correct Jira Issues Open/Closed?  If so, then you can re-open or close the issues directly in Jira.

If you *really* want to update the commit messages in your Github repo, then you could edit the commit history but in general this is fraught with danger.  Unless you are a git expert, I would avoid doing that.
